New "Look" in the Workforce Connection

We have a new Career Resources Technician in Weed, well not really new, as he has been here for 4 months already.  His name is Rick Fraga and he joined us in March of this year.  Rick comes to us after leaving the Siskiyou County area almost 25 years ago.  Originally a Dunsmuir resident, COS and
CSU-Chico gra
Rickduate, Rick has returned to the area after spending 23 years in Telecommunications and 1 year in the Wine Industry.  He brings a wealth of experience and skills to our organization, having spent 23 years as a managment representative, with his last 6 years in Administration and Human Resources.  Additionally, Rick has substantial experience in customer service having managed a call center, plus providing customer service while working in winery tasting rooms.

Rick, is single and has 3 grown sons out on their own.  The boys are Matthew (married, living in Citrus Heights), Christian (Cal-Poly grad, working in the Aeronautical industry) and Scott (a Marine Lance Corporal, currently stationed in Japan).  He currently is living in Mount Shasta and enjoys being back in Southern Siskiyou County.  He is looking forward to re-establishing his golf swing, getting back into summer trips down the whitewater of the Sacramento and getting more familiar with the wineries of Southern Oregon. He enjoys being a part of the Workforce Connection and finds that his co-workers make being a part of the team here much more enjoyable.  Rick is excited to be back in Siskiyou County and we are glad to have him be a part of STEP, and Workforce Connection.
